MUSIC

The Music department is well resourced and includes a wide variety of instruments. Music is taught along National Curriculum guidelines integrating performing, composing, listening and appraising.
The department is currently supported by a team of peripatetic teachers offering tuition in brass, percussion and stringed instruments.
Extra curricular music is valued in the school and it is hoped that pupils will take the opportunity to participate in our choir, bands, keyboard groups and independent learning (keyboard or singing) groups. These groups give pupils the opportunity to participate in musical activities, giving pleasure and
achievement through participation in rehearsals and performances.
