RELIGIOUS EDUCATION

The aim of RE is to enable pupils to gain
information about religions, leaving them to make informed choices about beliefs and moral standpoints. RE promotes the spiritual, moral, cultural and mental development of pupils. This involves a multi-cultural and world faith approach to religion, covering all six major world
religions: Hinduism, Sikhism, Judaism, Buddhism, Christianity and Islam.

"Spiritual, moral, social and cultural RE development is good."

OFSTED Inspection 2007

RE is taught through a wide range of approaches such as discussion, role-play, using artefacts, videos, visiting speakers and visiting places of worship, where possible.
